The Queens Botanical Garden contains over 39 acres of rose, bee, herb, and perennial gardens. Built for the 1964 World's Fair, the Garden includes a delightful Fragrance Walk and a very busy Bee Garden. A number of the small gardens that compose the site feature plants of particular significance to a certain world culture. The site has a number of LEED certified buildings, and the Queens Composting Project symbolize the outdoor museum's environmental stewardship mission The Queens Botanical Garden is a great place to relax and appreciate nature or teach little ones to do the same.
